I couldn't pass up the chance to go for an elephant-back safari. With guides riding on the front of the elephants, we doubled up and following a trail, looking for animals. I wasn't really looking for other animals though, I was just thrilled to be riding my favorite animal! The ride was very comfortable, and within a few minutes I felt right at home swaying back and forth with each step of the elephant.

Elephant from AboveThis is the top of the elephant's head looking down. The metal thing is used by the guide (sitting in front) to gently prod the elephant's ears for navigation.

Me and my buddyAt the end of the trail, we dismounted the elephants and had a delicious lakeside lunch while the elephants played and washed in the water.
