Next on the agenda was the city of Bulawayo, the second largest city in Zimbabawe. The Hotel Rio had a beautiful courtyard with peacocks casually strutting around. I suppose I should add that this was where my (inevitable) food poisoning kicked in. Almost everyone got ill at some point of the trip, but I was lucky enough to have it happen here, as opposed to the tour bus or while camping. During the two days we were in Bulawayo, I got violently sick the first night, spent the next 24 hours sleeping, and then spent the rest of the time watching a John Travolta movie marathon on TV. That was the first time I'd seen Saturday Night Fever in it's entirety. It was almost worse than the food poisoning. Not a lot of pictures here, since I was in the room most of the time.

Hotel RioI took this picture when we first showed up at the hotel. Little did I know evil bacteria was multiplying in my stomach, preparing for attack by 9:00 that night.

PeacockAll it took was a rather drab female peacock walking by to get this guy flashing his goods.
